Weekend R&R

Hopefully you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend doing what you love! I so bummed we have to turn the clocks forward tonight, this time change is always a struggle for me adjust to. But on the other hand I love knowing we will gain another hour of daylight in the evenings!

We packed a picnic lunch and went to Silver Falls today, near Silverton, Oregon for a scenic hike. There was even a skiff of snow on the ground when we drove in! At about 1500ft elevation, this particular falls has a drop of just under 180 ft and you can walk behind the falls, it's just an incredible experience! You get soaked from the mist but it's worth it! There are 10 miles of beautiful trails and falls, although none are as large as the North Falls. I packed almost 20 lbs of camera gear up and down these canyon trails, I will be lucky if I can move in the morning!

Sounds like a wonderful hike and your photos are beautiful!!! Definitely worth the stiff, soar muscles you're probably feeling now.

I think I've been to Silver Falls before. It is very lovely. I think your photos do it justice. My mother was born in Eugene, so we have been back to that area many times.
